I have learned that although it would make the most sense to draw the wires in a straight line from light to light, you are supposed to curve the lines.  I also learned that there are many types of outlets.  These outlets are supposed to be 6 feet away from the corners and 12 feet away from each other. I learned so appliance, like the clothes dryer take a lot of wattage.  I also never expected that you could put no lights in a house and have it meet code.
